I built these a few years ago in a burst of creativity but only got as far as painting the three bases with cars before stalling. Not sure why I brought them out this week but I'm glad I did because now they're done! They're mostly junk and little plastic pieces I've saved plus a few barriers from a Mantic terrain set.
I made a wash that was 3 parts water, 2 parts ink, and 1 part matte medium. It was a little too pigmented but I think its a good starting place if I wanted to tinker with the recipe.
