15mm WW2 Stuff

These are from the Flames of War British Parachute Company but I'm not a history buff and I'm doing my best with the colors I have to approximate their uniforms.

This was a two part experiment. I wanted a second try at 15mm stuff after I bounced off it last year painting for Eternol and I wanted to see if I painting models at half size would let me build a 40k / Bolt Action sized army.

Turns out I do like 15mm models but probably still won't pursue a big army style project. I would like to add a bit more to this little group though, specifically another 6 man squad with the red paratrooper berets, a Comet tank, and make a jeep or two. I also have to figure out how to base these.

Pants - VMC German Camo Pale Brown
Smock - VGC Khaki
Webbing / Gators / Helmet - VMC German Camo Bright Green
Boots / Gun and Helmet Straps / Metal Gun Bits - VMC Basalt Grey
Rifle Stock - VMC Leather Brown
Skin - VMC Basic Skin Tone

Everything was washed with a 50/50 mix of Pro Acryl Brown Wash and GW medium. On the first batch of these models I did this twice.

Pants and Webbing etc. were highlighted by mixing the base color with VMC Stone Grey.
Smock was highlighted the VMC Stone Grey.
Skin was highlighted with the base color.
Rifle stock was highlighted by mixing with base color with VMC Basic Skin Tone.
The black bits weren't highlighted.
The metal bits of the guns were painted with VMetalC Gunmetal Grey.
